ON & UP PROGRAMME

Volunteers from UCL hosted interactive sessions with female students aged 14-18 from state-funded London schools, such as Aylward Academy and the Ark Globe Academy.  We organised sessions that included CV workshops and university application guidance.

The On & Up Programme was a Women in Finance and Guild initiative.

NEW HORIZON YOUTH CENTRE

The NHYC partnership has been a huge step forward for the Investment Society and the Guild this year as we have established ourselves as the pioneer career society that has extended our reach externally to create a social impact in the wider community. The objective of the partnership was to create a framework of support and to co-empower London youth to create a brighter future for the homeless members of NHYC.

We conducted biweekly one-on-one sessions with 3-4 committee volunteers per session where we provided guidance on writing CVs, tailoring cover letters, job applications and mock interview practice.

PROJECT ACCESS

Unprivileged Girls Helped

Project Access is an international social enterprise and UK-registered charity that fights the inequality in accessing leading universities for high school students across the world. Their mentorship programme helps over 3,300 students from over 20 countries.

This year we are proud to have supported their events and we plan to help them grow even faster and encourage more UCL students to become mentors for this amazing initiative.
